If you were cast on the RW, what would your family be surprised to learn about you?
**************
First off all, let me begin with the fact that my parents somewhat misinterpret who I am.
They emotionally take me to be something I am not. My parents misconstrue me enough, for me to think, if they themselves have been living under a rock throughout my life.
However, there's nothing that my parents don't know about me, that would've otherwise been keep a secret.
Though, they could try a lot better to understand me, but then again, I don't really mind to as how they or anyone may interpret me.
**************
Which of your activities or behaviors would you NOT want your family to see on TV?
Well, I won't really monitor any of my actions, or hold back.
I am going to be how I am, regardless of who could be watching. Though, I'm not sure what I can label as something I wouldn't want my parents to not see. They have dealt with a lot of how I already am, to at least not be as alarmed of what I can or may do, if given the opportunity or moment.
**************
:)
FYI.
Attend schooling at the University of East London, England.
Major: Interdisciplinary Relations. (communications), with an emphasis on humanitarianism.
I base somewhat of my life around altruistic work.
Other than the basics, you can read my previous blogs, watch my videos(which may not highlight my strengths)and pass judgment on whatever else.
I should have shed some light on some personal details via video, talked about my life story, but I felt not so inclined to do so at the time.
People are actually a bit lazy to read my blogs, so they may judge me only off of my videos. My interview was a bit something else though, and I somewhat wish I could have opened that side to me as well, for everyone else to see.
I am a lot deeper than you can possibly ever imagine...
Well, for the most part is trying to keep my composure, before anything.
I will not start a heated argument, without first getting my facts correct, or at least having a justifiable reason to explode on someone for doing something deemed totally unnecessary, cruel, and vindictive. Even then, I try to make that situation itself work without having to be so offensive.
I will not give anyone the time of day, unless the situation, or conflict is serious enough.
People mess up and I do so too, it's life, so I try to work the dilemma at hand, out, with logical reasoning. I try to do to others, as I myself would like to be treated. I don't feel it neccessary to use violence in any way, though, if a person is being somewhat physically abusive to another or me, I will not tolerate this, at all.
Rest assure, if you try to walk over me, I will bite.
Also, arguing with me, is like trying to cut a bagel with a plastic knife, it just doesn't really work. If you have something valid or of substance to say, which is most unlikely, but if you do, I'll listen, and give you my thoughts.
Voicing your negative words upon me, will earn you some kudos, but really credit you to a verbal bashing, if anything.
I'll try to keep my composure in most situations, but I am not perfect, so deal.
Do you feel that your approach is effective? Why or why not?
In some sense, yes, but not all situations work out as hoped. I tend to put people in their place, if need be. I don't really tolerate nonsense, so my ego may get the best of me in some cases.
Overall, it's a learning experience.
*What is the biggest problem you face?
I find faults in others real easily, and because of this I find it hard to be in a relationship worth my time. I know no one is perfect and nor am I, but yet I demand perfection.
The point is that I have a fixation for perfection. Everything has to be perfect or I'll lose my mind, no not really, but perfection is what I strive for, it's what I need.
Also, if someone doesn't exceed my expectations, I can't be bothered. I wish it was otherwise. My parent's are partially to blame for this. I have set myself higher and higher to be something in life, and I can't be distracted by someone who has little goals in life, to possibly be brought down by.
**************************************************
*Describe your childhood and home.
My childhood was full of some memorable, and other not so memorable moments. I regret nothing. My parents tended to be very loving people, and still are. I lived in a very family orientated household. I had the support of my parents even when I managed to lose their trust.
I did exceptionally well in school. My grades were good, but my attendance was a bit off. Nonetheless, I still got by. I sometimes would just neglect going to class and indulge in other things, school was uninteresting at the time, wasn't very challenging, I'd say. I never did drugs. I was quite the health enthusiast, I would eat accordingly to what I thought was a healthy choice. I was semi-popular in 9th and 10th grade. Though grade or elementary school was a bit something else. I was the only minority in school.
I was likable, but not everyone saw eye to eye with me. Played first string cornerback for the local football team for sometime, which helped me become more extroverted. I received more attention than the other players, who were just as good, only because of my heritage. I guess it was rare to see an Indian boy drop sack a quarterback, causing a fumble, to return as a touchdown. It was refreshing for some to see someone like me excel at a sport, that is mainly dominated by other ethnic groups.
************************************************
*Describe a major issue or event that has affected your family.
My parents were victim to identity theft at one point in life. At the time I didn't know what to think of this. I ignored the seriousness of this, when it actually caused my parents some setback. I was at boarding school at the time, and I didn't know to much about the issue, other than what the head staff had told me.
Eventually, it involved some time and effort for my parents to get back on track. Financially everything was alright, but the fact that someone out there had access to my parents personal info, was creepy. The federal bureau helped resolve the issue to bring back some sense of normalcy.
************************************************
*Describe yourself as a competitor
People take me to be a challenge, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on the situation. I'm not a person to brag, be cocky, or be overly confident. I will not come out spewing talk in each direction on how I will win this and literally, "own you". Instead, I build on inside. I don't want to verbally pride myself, to show my competitors I mean business beforehand. I keep a low profile until the time calls, to show them my ability to do well in any situation, challenge, competition, through my actions and not through my words.
*************************************************
*Why do you want to be on the RW? Why do you think others will vote for you?
Well, has there ever been someone like me on the show. Forget the fact that I'm an Indian, but consider the fact of how I live my life.
Do I fit any one stereotype, I don't think so.
In some ways this opportunity could further my career, but it really could also be an experience where viewers and I could learn a thing or two whilst I live amongst six complete strangers.
I've had similar experiences and this could add to them.
*************************************************
*Do you drink alcohol? If yes, how do you generally behave when intoxicated?
I only drink wine. Intoxicated is out of the question. I don't drink to get drunk, I just simply love the taste of wine. I get really annoyed at people who drink until they no longer can function properly as enough to keep their very own mouth shut. I can't stand it. I go clubbing quite frequently, and I encounter idiots half the time. Girls are no different. The club scene isn't all about drinking, lurking for sex, over dosing on your occasionally drug, to rubbing your mental thoughts with the lustrous stripper pole dancing along side you. However, it mainly seems so. I really can have a fun time without damaging my brain cells. I don't need some second rate drug or beverage, to get myself over the top. I control my actions, my body, I don't want to be influenced by some foreign substance, that may only cause temporary happiness, followed by a morning hang over....eh!
I am wild, happy, and over the top on my own.
Let's start with my only sibling, who I rarely ever see. He's only sixteen and spends most of his time away at boarding school, but does comes back to the states for the summers.
For the next few days upon his arrival we get along very well, maybe because we've forgotten how irritating it actually is to be around each other, due to the time separation. After a week or two, it comes back down to yelling at each other, to being verbally abusive, but only in a brotherly way of course.
He's very accepting of me because of his view on life, but I don't converse to much with him on personal things. He's not quite their to comprehend my thought process, so I rather not bother talking to him about issues far out of his league.
Though we do laugh, annoy, irritate, reminisce of the miserable moments we've had. He's entertaining to be around, he smiles a lot, which makes every situation with him to be that more enjoyable. Though he is a lot more built than me, this is not a good thing. I guess because he weight trains and I myself rather focus on being flexible and agile
enough to hit the slopes, he then usually gets the upper hand in being more competitive. He's only sixteen, yet he's surpassed me in height and build, but not smarts.
I'm closer to my mother if anything, but I tend to keep to myself when it comes down to being throughly social with my parents. They're accepting of me, but because of their own views at life they have succumbed to being a bit judgmental, it doesn't bother me, because they're accepting nonetheless, but they do only verbally vent their frustration at me when their social status comes in conflict with me. They still support me at what I do, even if they feel as I should be doing something else or more.(living up to family name)
My toddler years were all pretty much in the the town of Howard Beach. Probably the only other racial group there at the time. I would say my family is Indian, but this is partially true. Because of some social close mindedness within their own community and family they have usually avoided telling people of their families very true background, I don't like this. They care what
other family members may think. I usually just say I'm Indian because it's easier to explain and avoids further complications, then having to say otherwise. (This was very personal to say, but I don't feel that obligated enough to not share, why not? I am applying for the the real world right!?)
I can speak an Indian language, and somewhat of Italian.
I liked to be referred to as an Indian, if anything.
My friends in boarding school would wonder why my parents and I were so unlike, they are definitely a generation behind.
My parents noticed a decline in my academics, as well as other areas of life, so they decided to take me out of the states to bring me to my senses, to ultimately finding a deeper depth to
life. The riches of the American culture spoiled me, they said.
At first my parents enrolled me into the American embassy school, in New Delhi, but it didn't work as planned, so they tried a different school with a more spiritual outlook at life. It was basically an American high school, in India! Mainly consisting of Americans and some Europeans, along with South Americans. It was a little confined bubble of western students in northern India.
How strange, one may say. An American high school in India?
Without this school, I would be on the news for something other than promoting world peace .(Laughs)
As a child my idea of fun was altered in a lot of ways due to the environment I lived in, which was mainly white at the time and still is, yet rather racist.
Living abroad made me become more culturally diverse from the sense of awareness and made me who I am today. My parents are responsible for pushing me at such a young age to be where I am today, without their actions, I would be "shit".
I'm also not very fond of my New York accent, it usually comes out unwarranted. Though it is me, I still very much dislike the stereotype that the accent itself carries. I have my mom's side of the family to thank for this.
My parents consistent plead for me to be successful, has done me more good than harm. Had I stayed in New York and not traveled abroad, I would've lacked the experience to be who I am. It
clarified where I stand in life, and what I want to do with life.
I don't wish to break any stereotypes from being on this show, because stereotypes will always strive to exist in one way or another, people are conditioned to think with what they are accustomed to, with what their familiar with, so they label with what little they know.
Don't get me wrong, I am definitely fed up with the tired stereotypes and one dimensionality forced upon Asian Indians, but it is getting better as time sails by.
My math scores are just about, above average, but I'm not a genius, or am I willing to be your accountant. I'm semi-computer savvy, but I can't hack the pentagon, or am I willing to fix your computer. Your local store owner is not my relative. Outsourcing has nothing to do with me, so please stop putting your frustration out on me because you lost your job to some Asian Indian, you've never met. Indian food is good, but I don't eat too much of it. I do everything in moderation, too much of one thing is never a good thing. I'm a vegetarian by choice, and not because of some fanatical beliefs.
You can formulate your own opinion about me, I don't need to add that I'm different.
Also, just because I grow up in Howard Beach, I am in no way affiliated with Nicholas Minucci, Alphonse Indelicato, or any of the organized crime families that may reside there.
I can barely cook an edible Italian dish, and I won't beat you up, I rather just be your friend.
So let's not stereotype, alright...
I do understand that only one cast member will be selected from this site, however, I think there's a lot of intriguing people on this site.
If you do or don't vote for me, thats cool, but please check the following profiles.
I've been on this site since day one, so I'm quite aware of most of the people in this round.
I've done my best to narrow it down to the top 10 that would be the most interesting to watch and a breath of fresh air for MTV's Real World.
**Note**
MTV's Real World is reportedly gone back to it's original outlook, and is looking for inspiring people, not complete idiots.
So here's the list of people to look and possibly vote for.
Racheldanna
(you will not regret it.)
http://realworldcasting.com/people/racheldanna
Eric
http://realworldcasting.com/people/Eric
(Intellectual, goofy funny.)
Antasha
http://realworldcasting.com/people/Antasha
(though her voice may not be her best quality she is definitely an ambitious woman.)
Caesar
http://realworldcasting.com/people/Caesar
(he's in love with himself, but he could definitely grow from being on the show.)
ONLYiNHiaLeaH
http://realworldcasting.com/people/ONLYiNHiaLeaH
(Not sure what his goals are, but he seems to be a kid at heart, I like this, watch his latest video.)
Lillith
http://realworldcasting.com/people/Lillith
(She seems really positive and is also good for the environment.) :)
Ashley
http://realworldcasting.com/people/Ashley
(don't be fooled by her looks and five tags, she is a lot deeper and refreshing than the stereotype she is probably labeled within.
Read her Myspace blogs! :)

Boardingjon25
http://realworldcasting.com/people/boardingjon25
(I like his attitude, seems very open-minded.
He may not know exactly to as what he plans to do with his life, and he over uses the words "and ah", a lot, but he definitely has a presence worth noticing, he's on a good path.)
Guynextdoor131
http://realworldcasting.com/people/Guynextdoor131/blogs
( He's only eighteen and isn't all about sex, drugs, and alcohol. Read his "What I think!" blog.)
A lot of grown-ups and even kids these days use words such as "fag" and "homo" to demean people they dislike or consider to be odd or effeminate.
In an era where no thinking person would consider making a racial slur and ethnic bigotry is all but banished from the media, why are anti-gay comments and stereotypes still thriving?
Also, I had pigtails at a very young age, my parents were that mean, as you can see.
I think I was crying in the picture that I just recently put up.
So, am I talking about a characteristic that distinguishes me from somebody or an inherited characteristic, a quality that is genetically determined, or both.
Whatever...
I suppose these can be defined as some of my worser traits.
A lot of the time I don't like to show or express any feelings of attraction.
I like to do things at unconventional times of the day.
For example; eating cereal at dinner, doing laundry at 2 A.M., eating pasta in the morning.
I can't fly. ( I dislocated my shoulder trying, but I'm convinced that I can not fly.)
I think the word "Fuc*" is appropriate to use in a professional setting, as long as I end with a rather good point.
I sometimes make terrible first impressions.
I'm a Virgo (Look up the astrological meaning of my sign's weaknesses, for they are quite accurately described.)
I like to be in control.
I'm impulsive. No careful planning, just doing.
I enjoy spontaneity.
*****************
Not so bad traits, that can be considered to be my
Best Traits.
I'm into altruism.
I'm very hygienic, I guess it's part of being a Virgo.
I'm quite impervious to people's hateful words.
***This is starting to sound like a dating advert, I hate this.***
I can be very compassionate and loving.
I don't really care, to as how you interpret me.
(Myspace Page) www.myspace.com/thaillkidd - leave some hate mail, appreciated.
Work for UNICEF.
Study at UEL.
Certified Yoga teacher, but I rarely teach.
(THIS DOES NOT MEAN I'M A HIPPIE!)
(Did you know that Hollywood's top Rockstars do yoga and if you haven't experienced yoga then please do stfu!
Unlike drugs it lasts longer and is a more healthier means of being high. No you can't just pull it out of your side pocket and smoke it or drink it, it takes effort and time aside to do it before you start normal day in and day out activities.)
Vegetarian.
(Vegetarians are sexier.)
Part time Bad-ass.
Born in New York.
Raised everywhere else.
***Sorry If I don't respond. However if you do interest me then I will most likely reply...***
***MTV needs to fix the make up of this site, testimonials are not working properly. When you write one do make sure to include your name at the end, so I know who it is, Thank you.****
**Erica, stop telling your friends to display there stupidity on my site, exactly what did happen to all the votes you were receiving in that one night. Did all the Penn state students change schools.**
** If you think I am doing something against the rules of this site then report me.**
** If you don't like me, then don't vote for me.**
**Now go do something productive other than lurking this site and stop spamming my page!***
I try to be all walks of life. I wear and dress to my own accord. I definitely have my share of relating to superficiality, but I do really strive to live a spiritual life as well.
I demand perfection, but I've learned to not stress over it.
I'm very assertive, like very!
I aim my potential towards organizations like UNICEF and the Peace Corps.
I've learned not to use my New York City accent, or at least in professional settings because of the stereotype it follows, but instead only use it to make fun of myself or when I'm around family or friends.
I'm not Hispanic for those who were wondering or have asked, but do try again...
If you can read this next line, then you'll know what I am.
Ik ben Indisch, onder andere.
I believe there's a place for everyone in this vile Universe.
Live and Let live!
I can be verbally abusive when provoked, but I try to play nice.
Personally my family would probably think less of me, if I were on a show as such, a bit degrading if you ask them.
I do have ambitions I can list, but who cares right?
Maybe I should just write about how much I smoke, drink, and fcuk since it's more entertaining to watch a "freak" over someone else.
Smoke? No, I couldn't do that to my body!
Drink? Just Wine.
I guess your life has to be a complete mess to be on the show, kind of like Britney Spears before she hit rock bottom.
I'm sorry but that just isn't me.
I can actually have fun without intoxicating or drugging myself.
Drunk people annoy me.
Love to shred.
Music I prefer - 80's metal, 80's dance, trance.
People can say whatever they'd like about me, sorry don't care.
The only person that can hurt me is me, not you.
My 5th grade teacher once told me that I'd be most likely to end up in jail.
I was young and hurt after that statement. :(
I was a very bad child when I was younger, but I matured very quickly after my parents sent me to a military academy and then afterwards to boarding school.
I like taking risks and because of that I have some nice scars to show for.
I'm labeled as a bad-ass, not sure why.
My ass seems fine to me, I don't know why people would say I have a bad-ass.
I dislike dead lines, bureaucracy, speeding tickets, Bush and his concubine Chaney.
I tend to sleep very little as well, to much shit to do such little time.
My perception towards politics is very cynical.
I can also party like a rockstar, without the use of drugs and booze sluts! I'm sorry that you can't and have to conform to societies mainstream interpretation of having fun or partying.
