Round 2 Blog: Parents / Siblings / Extended Family

Okay - So Round 2's blog is supposed to be about my parents / guardians and the relationship that I have with them. And if I have siblings or extended family that is important to me, to write about them too!

So, my Mom & Dad have been married for like 27 years or something like that. They are awesome and I hope to be in a relationship just like theirs one day. They are truely a whole and they complete each other. I look at my friends that have divorced parents and I thank God all the time (seriously I do) that he blessed me with 2 wonderful and amazing parents that have managed to put up with each other for so long. I am so close to both of them and I am so thankful for that.
Growing up was kind of hard. My Mom was so strict and wouldn't let me do anything, and my Dad and I always butted heads. Finally once I graduated High School that all changed.

Today they are my best friends and I am so very close to them. We'll start with my Mom first. She's the cutest thing you've ever seen with ginormous boobs. She's quiet and reserved but give her some margarita's and she acts like a crazy 20 year old girl. I can tell her anything and I can always depend on her no matter what. We work together, so we are constantly bickering at each other, but she's like my best friend so we're over it in like 2 seconds and on to the next argument. My friends always make fun of us b/c we talk on the phone 541203 times a day and whenever I'm away from home, I always call her "when i get in." I'm sure this will go on till' the day I die.
Now my Daddy! He's my SUPER HERO! He came from nothing, dropped out of high school when he was in 9th grade, and came out on top! He started his own business which we've been running for the past 10 years and he's made a more than comfortable living for himself. He's a hot head, which is where I get my bad temper from, but he can be the coolest, calmest person at the same time. Our relationship used to be horrible. Since him and my mom were so strict when I was younger, I would rebel all the time, and always get caught. He's pretty scary when he gets mad and growing up we were always fighting. He has 2 sons and I am his only daughter so I just think he was protecting his little girl, but didn't quite know how to go about it. He just always treated me like he did his sons so yelling and getting in my face was normal to him. He's taught me so much though. He's the smartest man I know and if you ever met him, I'm sure you would learn a thing or two from him. We're finally over the yelling and fighting part! I'm a grown up now and that's how he treats me. He's my best friend and he means the world to me. I can count on him for anything and whenever I need advice I can always go to him and I know that he will help me make the best decision. I love the father daughter time that we share. I'm daddy's little girl and always will be. We hang out and cut up as much as we can. We like to sit on the porch and bull shit, go to the races, and just hang out. As long as we've got a beer in our hands - it's all good!
My Mom and Dad are the 2 most important people in my life and I love them to death. I would be lost without them and they mean the world to me.

Now my brother. Besides my parents he's the next important thing in my life. I call him "Bubbies" - He's 19 years old and we're exactly 4 years apart. Yes, our birthday is on the same day. How crazy is that!? I'm very overprotective of him and whenever someone pisses him off or if girls won't leave him alone, I feel like it's my job to take care of it. Even though he can hanle himself. We've had our fair share of fist fights and screaming matches, but what brother & sister haven't? It's crazy b/c we act so silly around each other, we always know what the other is thinking, and we always finish each others sentences! Even though he's younger than me, I look up to him in so many ways. He's so driven and strong, and has such a good head on his shoulders. He's such a hard worker and you can count on him for anything.

As you can see, my family is beyond GREAT! I am so blessed and so lucky to have such great parents and such a great brother!

Now my EXTENDED FAMILY! These would be my wonderful friends! I have the best friends anyone could ask for! It really means alot to me that I have people in my life that I know won't judge me if I do something stupid. (Which I am known for making dumb decisions in life) They'll always be there for me and I'll always be there for them.
They're the type of friends that we call each others parents' Mom and Dad and my home is their home and visa versa!

I think your friends & family and the company you keep really defines who you are. If ya'll got the chance to meet my family & friends you would know that I am a lucky girl!!! I have the best friends and family in the world!!! <3
