1. How do you handle conflicts?
Well considering that there is more than one kind of conflict to handle in life, I would have to just say that it varies. More often than not though, I’ll either address the problem directly at its source (if it’s something I really care about), or I’ll just blow it off and act like it never happened (if it’s something that I don’t).
2. Do you feel like your approach is effective? Why or why not?
Normally, yes. If I didn’t feel like the approaches I use would be effective, I wouldn’t use them.
3. What is the biggest problem you face?
I would defiantly have to say the uncertainty of life. I am a big time Type A personality and like to have control over situations and outcomes whenever possible (which, unfortunately, is not even close to possible for every event in life). Moreover, I do my best to handle these things I can’t control in life with faith in God…keeps me level for sure.
4. Describe your childhood and home…
My childhood was a good one as far as I can remember. I was born in Chicago, but my parents decided to move to Bloomington just a few years after I was born so that my Pops could finish up school. We lived in Bloomington for a few years until my pops finished up his degrees and we moved out to Ellettsville (as you can see, our hometown’s population got significantly smaller as we kept moving…), which is like 5-10 minutes west of Bloomington. All in all I would say that my childhood was a learning one. I got to play all of the sports that I wanted to, had help with school work, always had food and clean clothes, and had a real family that was always there for me. My parents’ mentality was the saying “It’s not our job to take care of you; it’s our job to teach you to take care of yourself.” Of course, like most all families, we still have our issues…but they stay in-house.
5. Describe a major issue or event that has affected your family?
Well I have 6 people in my family, so there have been many events that have had a significant impact on us as a whole, whether it was positive or negative. For me in particular though, I would say my getting into trouble my senior year of high school is what hurt my family the most. I was pretty good at basketball and had a few schools lined-up that were prepared to give me scholarship money to come hoop for them (even a division-one team in Kentucky). However, when I got into trouble, I lost all of that. To this day I still think that an 8 game suspension was quite harsh for what I actually did (drinking underage at a party…not driving or anything, just sitting on my ass in a house drinking), but it was the ridiculous ‘minimum suspension’ rule that our high school’s administration had just put into place and was trying to be all proud and hard about, that made me an ‘example’ and forced me to have to serve the suspension. I mean come on, I lost my senior year for something that I could do daily now…crazy. Also, an 8 game suspension was enough to scare off the recruiters (at least the ones from schools that I’d actually go play for), because a 6-foot guard is easy to replace in the basketball world, believe me. All of this, ultimately, hurt my folks and family both financially and socially… at least for a while. But on the bright side, it was a learning experience that taught me that you have to be careful who you trust…period.
6. Describe yourself as a competitor….
I would say that I’m very competitive. I am the middle boy of the 3 of us in my family (both of whom are 6’4”, 200lb+) so I’ve always had to be relentless and good at things just to compete. I would sum up my ideal of a competitive nature with the following quote; “I would rather have someone on my team who hates to lose, then to have someone who loves to win.”
7. Why do you want to be on RW? Why do you think others will vote for you?
I want to be on the RW because it would simply be a blast. I find social interactions among people pretty fascinating, especially complete strangers. So to be part of a group of 7 strangers interacting for the first time, while being documented on national television, would be something that I feel couldn’t be replaced by any other experience out there. I think people will vote for me because they are either my family or friends in real life, want me to vote for them back, think I’m funny or interesting, or find something about me that they think is physically attractive…that’s about it.
8. Do you drink alcohol? If yes, how do you generally behave when intoxicated?
I am Irish-Serbian…of course I drink alcohol. I am a 22 year-old male in college, so when I go out drinkin’ I normally make some bad decisions and memories with my friends that aren’t always so easy to remember :-)

Do you have any ideas as of how MTV might be able to improve their online casting tactics?
