ROUND # 3 BLOG

Both of my parents were raised in Burlington, Vermont. They graduated from high school to be owners of a family car business. My parents both Chris and Lori mean the world to me. I have always been in contact with my parents. I have always cared about them being they’re my parents. Unfortunately I didn’t always get along with them. I went through stages of wanting independence and no always getting it. Neither of my parents went to college, so I was brought of on the prospective that college wasn’t necessary because they didn’t participate in college and today are very successful. So I have struggled with education with my parents. Education is really important to me; it’s the foundation to my life. Luckily my parents didn’t have to go to college and are stable and finically stable. As I have discussed with them many times that is not always the case for everyone. Family is an important to me, I don’t always agree with everything that happens in families but I know that family members stick with each other through thick and thin. I have learned to have patients and tolerance when it comes to my family. Both of my parents have raised me the best that they could on the resources that they had at the time. I am trying to stop the cycle of my family not moving onto college and I am currently in college now. My mother has always been there for me and I am coming to understand the older that I get that I need to hold on to my parents because no matter what goes on in life they are the ones that will love me unconditionally. I also have an older sister that is living in the same area as my parents and I. Carrie my sister that I could ever replace. She is amazing, and besides our differences we still are very close. Carrie works for my parents at the car business, and is currently trying to finish college at her own pace. I have a younger brother named Kyle who I was very close to when I was a child. We were like best friends in many ways. My brother is very intelligent like my sister and is currently go to school out of state so I don’t see him very often. I do get to spend time with him during school vacations. I love my family very much. They are proud of me for stepping outside of my comfort zone and trying to participate for the real world 20. The real world 20 would help me pursue my dreams with modeling and fashion. My friends for years have told me to apply for the real world because they think that I am perfect for the show. I took my friends advice and applied to the real world 20, knowing the qualifications based on wanting someone with a career goal to work on during episodes. My parents have stood by me through my life, encouraging my to follow my dream no matter how impossible it may seem at the time. Family is the foundation to my life; I need my family to be happy.
