---How do you handle conflicts?
I'm a very "in your face" kind of person. I feel that the best way to deal with conflict is to address it. The worst thing a person can do is pretend like there is no problem. If I have a problem with someone or something I take it up with the cause immediately. If I'm too angry to deal with it immediately I find a quiet place and chill for a bit. Sometimes I get rid of built up aggression by running. It's an excellent way to clear my head before making rash decisions.
---Do you feel that your approach is effective? Why or why not?
I think that my approach is very effective. The problem is dealt with and progress can then be made. I feel that it's better to upset someone with the truth than disappoint them with lies. At least then no one can say you're not an honest person. People will have more respect for you if you can just tell the truth and confront issues you face.
---What is the biggest problem you face?
The biggest problem I face at the moment is pretty trivial... and that would be my utter inability to save any money. For example, my fiance and I have been engaged for 2 years; you'd think we have a huge savings account for our wedding and the beginning of our future together. Nope, together we got nada. Just a lot of bills and debt...But we do have a lovely furnished apartment and all the beer anyone could want. Sometimes I feel like I just throw money down the drain, like we're NEVER going to be able to get married for the simple fact we just can't afford it. I have a hard time separating my wants from my needs. Like right now for example, I really need to be in bed getting some sleep... but I REALLLLLLY want to be on the RW... so here I am... typing this blog. :)
---Describe yourself as a competitor
I am EXTREMELY competitive at EVERYTHING that I do. I have to be the best at everything. If I'm the first at a stop light with someone next to me, I have to take off before them when the light is green. At work, I like to make sure that I always make more tips by the end of the night. It's in my blood. I've been active in sports since I can remember and have always strove to be the best. I was always a starter and hated spending time on the bench during any sport. In high school I lettered in both Varsity Volleyball and Softball as a freshman, a starting player on both teams. Throughout high school I continued to play volleyball and softball as well as picking up track. I ran the 200 yard dash for the first time ever as a senior and won. I ended up qualifying for the Track Regionals that year. I just LOVE competing. My senior year I was also the MVP of my softball team and accepted a scholarship to play at a small college not too far from home. I also started as a freshman there at shortstop batting number 2 in the line up. Shortly after my first season I decided to retire and devote my time to surfing. I have now been surfing competitively for almost a year and have won about 8 of 10 contests and the ones I didn't win I placed in the top 3. I picked up 2 sponsors within the year and am determined to make myself ready to compete at a professional level by the beginning of next year. Like I said at the beginning of this blog.. I have to be the best at everything that I do. Second place is first loser. I DO NOT like to lose.
After being on the RW I would LOVE to be on the Inferno or something of the like. I PROMISE... the veterans wouldn't know what hit them.
